Just got back from this years European Residential and gotta say, I had an awesome time. While venice remains my favorite the trip has really opened my eyes in alot of ways. I have alot more respect for the germans, got to see alot of good architecture in both comtemporary buildings and preserved buildings, I got to see the Berlin Wall and the East Side gallery (people gotta learn some respect, yeah the art is grafitti, that doesn't mean its all right for you to add to it unless theres a guy with a AK-47 ready to blow your head off), I got to see the Blue Man Group live and man was I amazed.  I also got to go Kunsthause Tacheles which was rea

So we come into college on tuesday morning and its a bit of a shock, especially for those of us who've put on a show in the past, the dreaded boards are up, the old print hall split in two with the first years now hidden behind a reghimented row of boards. Theres alot of them. Still the shock passes and it turns out its actually a good thing. So we've spent the last week preping the boards (we're the first ones to use all the new brushes and stuff yay!), though none of us know which boards we'll be displaying on. But yeah, its been a minimal brainwork sorta week giving those of us who are still struggling to pin down the details of our proje

So tomorrow I go back to college and I've done f*** all. As always I'm too hung up on the details to get started. Thats not to say I've done nothing useful over the break, the sheer amount of time I've spent browsing here on DA has certainly inspired me but still no way near a coherent theme. But I have plenty of research on nottingham myths and legends. Theres no shortage to the Macabre in Nottingham, I've got it all bookmarked and ready to go but the stroys all have very similar themes, I'm not sure how many plates I could make that would be original enough.
